I will consider offers from Bundesliga and La Liga, says Jahanbakhsh
Tehran Times – NIJMEGEN, Iranian international winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh has not decided his next season’s team but stated that he will consider offers from the top European leagues such as German Bundesliga and Spanish La Liga.
“I have still one year left on my contract with NEC Nijmegen and there are some offers and rumors about my future. I will think about the offers with my agent and I will decide my next team when I return to Holland,” Jahanbakhsh told in an interview with Fars News Agency.
“I have to choose a club which improve my football so that would be a difficult decision to make. Any football player would love to play in German Bundesliga or Spanish La Liga and I’m not an exception so I would definitely consider offers from these two leagues,” 21-year old added.
The young winger has been in exceptional form for NEC Nijmegen this season, but a summer departure is now looking likely, with Brighton and Hove Albion having a £1.4 million bid accepted, as per the Argus.
Jahanbakhsh has been linked with Norwich (Voetbal International) and Celtic (The Scotsman) this season, and a transfer was all but guaranteed this summer, despite being named NEC player of the year after winning them promotion.
Despite the interest from the Premier League and the SPFL, the 14 capped Iranian international, who appeared at the World Cup with his country, has yet to face any concrete offers from Norwich or Celtic, and Brighton have jumped ahead in the race for his signature.
“”We are still busy with negotiations. I have been in England to see the stadium and facilities. We have to think, we are still talking,”” Amir Hashemi, the 21-year-old winger’s manager, is quoted as saying by The Argus.
