“I have an offer from AZ Alkmaar” – Alireza Jahanbakhsh
Tehran Times – NIJMEGEN, Iranian international winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh stated that he has an official offer from Dutch club AZ Alkmaar.
“I have a couple offers from Russia, China, the U.S. and Persian Gulf but I don’t want to think about these offers at all. There is a serious offer from AZ Alkmaar which I will consider. I will fly to the Netherland on Wednesday to talk to Alkmaar officials as I want to decide my future in the next two weeks,” Jahanbakhsh told ISNA.
AZ Alkmaar finished third in 2014-15 season and booked a place in the Europa League preliminary round.
The NEC Nijmegen winger who has just rejected a move to Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion admitted that staying with NEC for another year is also another possibility.
“I have still one year left on my contract with NEC Nijmegen and I won’t reject the possibility of playing another year for them. I will consider all options and make a good decision in the next two weeks,” Jahanbakhsh added.
Jahanbakhsh scored 12 goals in 28 appearances for NEC in the Dutch Eerste Divisie last season, helping the club secure promotion to the Eredivisie. He also voted the best player of the 2014-15 Jupiler League winning the Golden Bull Award.
