Iran moves up three places to 38 in FIFA rankings

Loading...Tasnim News – TEHRAN, Iran climbed three places to 38 in the world in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday.
Iran is the highest-ranked Asian team, followed by Japan (50), Korea Republic (52) and Australia (59).
At the top of the rankings, Argentina has leapfrogged world champion Germany to take the top spot despite losing the Copa America final to Chile this week.
Belgium was placed third, with Colombia and the Netherlands in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Algeria at No. 19 is the only top-20 team from outside Europe and South America.
