Persepolis coach Ivankovic satisfied with team’s preparation
Tehran Times – ISTANBUL, Persepolis coach Branko Ivankovic is satisfied with the process of preparing his team in Turkey’s training camp.
The Iranian popular team is now in Istanbul to hold a training camp.
Persepolis has played two friendly matches so far. The Iranian team was held to a goalless draw by Genclerbirligi on July 15 and defeated Trinidad and Tobago Olympic team 2-0 on Saturday.
Persepolis will play its last warm-up game against Turkmenistan’s Altyn Asyr.
“We will go step by step, game by game. We have one game in front of us and expect a better performance,” Ivankovic told Persepolis website.
“I am so happy since our players are motivated to show what they can do. We wanted to play more warm-up matches but there is not enough time to do that,” the Croat added.
“We are working very hard in the training but we have some difficulties since some of the players have joined us recently and balance between them takes time,” former Iran coach added.
