IPL: Sepahan Routs Persepolis, Naft lose to Siah Jamegan [VIDEO]

Tasnim – TEHRAN, Iran Professional League (IPL) title holder Sepahan of Isfahan defeated Tehran’s popular team Persepolis 4-2 on Thursday.

Ehsan Hajsaf put Isfahan-based team in the lead just eight minutes into the match.
Mehdi Taremi equalized the match in the 13th minute and Omid Alishah was on target for the visiting team in the 34th minute.

Persepolis Costa Rican defender Michael Umana scored an own goal in the 39th minute.

Sepahan captain Hadi Aghili made it 3-2 in the 56th minute from the penalty spot and Mohammad Reza Khalatbari scored Sepahan’s fourth goal with nine minutes remaining.

Also in other matches held on Thursday, Naft of Tehran suffered a 1-0 defeat to Siah Jamegan, Malavan of Bandar Anzali defeated Esteghlal Ahvaz 2-0 and Saba and Gostaresh Foolad drew 1-1.
