Persepolis coach Ivankovic points finger at referees
Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Persepolis coach Branko Ivankovic indicated that he was unhappy with referee’s decisions in the two previous matches.
Persepolis remains at the bottom of the Iran Professional League (IPL) table with just one point from three matches.
Persepolis lost to Esteghlal Khuzestan 2-1 in IPL Week 2 and also was defeated against Sepahan 4-2 in Week 3.
“We didn’t deserve to lose in our previous two matches. I am satisfied with the way our boys played against Esteghlal Khuzestan and Sepahan but I believe that the referee’s decisions went against us in the two matches,” Branko said.
Persepolis remains at the top of the table for the first time in 47 years.
Persepolis has been scheduled to meet Isfahan-based team Zob Ahan on Friday.
“We have a difficult match against Zob Ahan. In my opinion, Zob Ahan is stronger than Sepahan. It’s a must-win match for us,” the Croatian coach added.
