Persepolis vs. Zob Ahan referee Faghani handed four-match ban
Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Reports in Iranian media claim international referee Alireza Faghani has been handed four-match ban in the wake of his performance in the Persepolis vs. Zob Ahan match.
Head of Iran referee department Masoud Enayat admitted that Faghani had four crucial mistakes which led to a 2-1 home defeat of Persepolis against Zob Ahan.
Faghani awarded Zob Ahan a penalty in the injury time while the game was 1-1. Masoud Hasanzadeh converted the penalty for Zob Ahan as the Isfahani club won the match with the assist of referee wrong decisions.
The Reds of the capital were the better team in the whole 90 minutes, creating a lot of chances but at the end they suffered their third consecutive defeat of the season.
Branko Ivankovic’s men are currently at the bottom of the table with just one point from four matches.
