Iran humiliates Uzbekistan at AFC Women’s Futsal Championship [VIDEO]

Tehran Times – NILAI, Iran crashed Uzbekistan 9-1 in the inaugural AFC Women’s Futsal Championship on Tuesday.

The Iranian team had opened the campaign on Monday with a 6-0 victory over Hong Kong.

Host Malaysia also defeated Hong Kong 4-1 to ensure its place in the semi-final.

“We did very well and I am very happy with performance from beginning to end. We had three friendlies with the Uzbek team last month and this helped us our preparation against the team,” Iran coach Forouzan Soleimani said.

The event has brought eight Asian teams together. Two best teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.

The 2015 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship is the first edition of the AFC Women’s Futsal Championship, the Asian women’s futsal international competition organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It got underway in Nilai, Malaysia from September 21 to 26.
