Tehran Times – TABRIZ, Former Persepolis and Team Melli coach Afshin Ghotbi has been shortlisted for Tractor Sazi job following the Tabriz based side poor results in Iran Professional League(IPL).

Tractor Sazi, who finished second in the table last season, is currently in the 10th place under Portuguese coach Toni Oliviera with just one win from seven matches.

“I have heard the news but no one has contacted us until now. Ghotbi has no problem to come to Iran while his contract with Curacao was for two matches and he would have continued if the team had qualified for the next round. He is no longer under contract with Curacao football federation,” Afshin Ghotbi’s agent Mehdi Hajbagher told Tasnim news agency.

After leaving Iran in 2011, Ghotbi was appointed as Japan’s J. League side Shimizu S-Pulse head coach but he left the club in summer of 2014.
