The driving attacking midfielder has just made his debut for Zob Ahan in the Iranian league after impressing for Iran at various age levels. He is seen as a more offensive successor to the legend that is Javad Nekounam. Some think he could even prove to be better than the man who spent six years in La Liga and played more than 150 times for his country. Shekari has been called up by the Under-23 team despite the fact that he is 17. Iran produces plenty of talent but it is not always nurtured the way it should be. Shekari could be different.
