Iran to face Syria at WAFF u-23 championship final

Loading...Tasnim – DOHA, Iran defeated Yemen 2-1 on Saturday and booked a place at the 2015 WAFF U-23 Championship final.
Mehrdad Mohammadi gave the Iranian football team the lead in the 10th minute and Mohammad Daneshgar was on target in the 48th minute.
Four minutes later, Abdullah Muhammed pulled a goal back for Yemen.
With two minutes remaining, Yemen missed a penalty.
Iran will play Syria, who defeated host Qatar 2-0 earlier in the day, in the final match on Wednesday.
The competition will be used as a warm up for the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship which is also scheduled to be held in Qatar.
