Persepolis coach Branko leaves door open for Nouri
Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Persepolis football team head coach Branko Ivankovic refused to rule out a return for former club captain Mohammad Noori.
“We have suffered big blows in recent week and on top of them losing Captain Hadi Norouzi, so it’s clear that we welcome a return for Mohammad Nouri. He was our captain and also a very important player for us, we were really disappointed when he decided to move to Qatar but this is professional football. Persepolis doors are open for Nouri’s return as we’re not planning to sign a new player in his position,” Branko told reporters.
Mohammad Nouri who joined Persepolis in 2010 was one of the team’s key players during his five-year spell at the club. He has scored 27 goals in 138 appearances before signing for Qatari side Al-Mesaimeer in July 2015.
