Team Melli Futsal en route to Brazil for Futsal Grand Prix 2015

Loading...Mehr News – TEHRAN, Iranian futsal national team will depart for Brazil on Monday November 2 to participate in 2015 Grand Prix de Futsal Cup.
By the end of the 15th round of Iran’s Premier League in futsal on Sunday next week, the futsal squad will leave Iran for UAE on Monday morning and then will head to Brazil to take part in the 2015 tournament.
Iran will play in Pool B of Grand Prix Futsal Cup with Colombia, Angola and Uruguay while Pool A includes hosting Brazil, Paraguay, Guatemala and Zambia.
Iran is scheduled to have their first match against Colombia on November 4.
Iran’s schedule for the qualifying round is as follow:
1- Iran – Colombia – November 4
2- Iran – Angola – November 5
3- Iran – Uruguay – November 6
Participating teams will have their semifinal and final games on 7th and 8th of November.
The host nation is the most successful team in the tournament with eight titles while Spain has won the competition once in 2010. Iran is also one of the favorites with two runner-ups (2007, 2009), two third place finishes (2013, 2014) and two fourth places (2010, 2011).
The 2015 Grand Prix de Futsal will be the 10th edition of the international futsal competition of the same kind as the FIFA Futsal World Cup but with invited nations and held annually in Brazil.
