European based striking trio returns for Turkmenistan and Guam
Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, Reza Ghoojannejhad, Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Karim Ansarifard were named in Carlos Queiroz’s 26-man squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Turkmenistan and in Guam on November 12 and 17.
The return of the trio comes in time as starting strikers Mehdi Taremi and Sardar Azmoun will be unavailable. The former will sit out his one-match suspension (yellow cards) against Turkmenistan while the latter will most likely miss both matches due to a groin injury.
Also unavailable due to injury will be center-back Jalal Hosseini and right-back Vouria Ghafouri. Ezzatollah Pourghaz and Khosro Heydari have been invited instead.
