Sardar Azmoun sidelined for three weeks due to nose surgery
Tehran Times – ROSTOV-ON-DON, FC Rostov striker Sardar Azmoun has been ruled out of action for three weeks.
The Iranian international striker underwent nasal surgery in Munich, Germany on Wednesday.
Although a success, the operation will keep Azmoun out of action for three weeks.
“I am fine at the moment. Thank you due to your kindness. My doctor said I need three weeks of recovery,” Azmoun wrote on his Instagram page.
The international striker had a combination of a deviated septum and nasal polyps which caused him breathing problems.
The Russian Premiere League took a three-month winter break until mid-March.
Azmoun joined FC Rostov for the rest of the season in February 2014 and extended his contract for one year more at the end of the season.
