Newly-appointed Tractor Sazi coach Amir Ghalenoei met his former team Esteghlal but despite a lot of goal scoring opportunities for both teams, the match ended with a goalless draw.
In the other important match of the week, Esteghlal Ahvaz was hammered by an impressive Saipa 4-1 in Tehran’s Dastgerdi stadium.
Saipa climbed up to fourth with this win while Esteghlal Ahvaz remained at the bottom of the table.
Elsewhere, Saba edged past Malavan to continue this season’s unbeaten home run, Sepahan and Rah Ahan played out a goalless draw and Naft Tehran defeated Foolad 2-1.
