Sajjad Shahbazzadeh brace sends Esteghlal to Hazfi Cup final [VIDEO]

Tehran Times – TABRIZ, Esteghlal football team has reached the Hazfi Cup final after a 2-1 win over Tractor Sazi in Tabriz on Tuesday.

The match was the battle of former and current Esteghlal coaches in which the latter won. This match was the 14th meeting between the two coaches and Mazloumi recorded his fifth win against Ghalenoei on Tuesday while current Tractor Sazi coach has won six clashes.

Sajjad Shahbazzadeh opened the scoring for the visitors in the 29th minute but Tractor Sazi’s Brazilian player Augusto levelled the score in the 49th minute.

Three minutes later Shahbazzadeh added another to give his team the lead and the chance to play in the final.

Esteghlal will play the reigning champion Zob Ahan in the final in Khoramshahr on May 27, 2016.
