Brazil ready to play Iran futsal team, official says

Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Brazilian Futsal team has shown interest in playing a friendly match with Iran, head of the Iranian Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee Abbas Torabian said.

“Thailand futsal team has already showed interest to play friendly with Iran on February 8. They wanted to travel to Uzbekistan a day after the match but we have air travel restriction here, so the match was cancelled,” Torabian said.

“The Brazilian futsal officials have also announced their readiness to play friendly in January, of course we have to cover their travel expenses. In my opinion, their demand is unlikely to be accepted by the Iranian football federation,” he added.

The Iranian team is preparing for the 2016 AFC Futsal Championship which will be held in Uzbekistan from February 10 to 21.
