Loading...Tasnim – AHVAZ, Esteghlal Khuzestan missed its chance to go back to the top of the Iran Professional League (IPL) after being defeated by Foolad in Ahwaz derby on Friday.
Cameroonian striker Mathias Chago scored Foolad’s goal with eight minutes remaining.
Tractor Sazi was held to a goalless draw against struggling Rah Ahan.
Naft Tehran also lost to Siahjamegan 2-1 in Tehran.
Amir Arsalan Motahhari found the back of the net from the penalty spot.
Reza Enayati equalized the match five minutes into the second half and Motahhari scored an own goal in the 83rd minute.
On Thursday, Esteghlal Ahwaz and Malavan drew 1-1.
