We will win the AFC Futsal Championship, says Iran coach

Loading...Tasnim – TEHRAN, Iran futsal coach Mohammad Nazemosharia has stated that his team is the favorite to win the 2016 AFC Futsal Championship.
“We have great players in our team and I believe we can win the title in Uzbekistan. The Asian teams are almost in a same level but the eastern countries like Japan and Thailand are stronger due to their better facilities,” Nazemosharia told ISNA.
The 2016 AFC Futsal Championship will be the 14th edition of the AFC Futsal Championship and will be held in Uzbekistan from February 10 to 21. A total of 16 teams will play in the tournament.
Iran has been drawn in Group B of the tournament alongside Iraq, China and Jordan. The Persians will take on Jordan in the first step on February 10th.
The tournament acts as the AFC qualifiers for the World Cup. The top five teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Colombia as the AFC representatives.
