Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Former FC Koln and Fulham midfielder Adil Chihi is on the verge of joining Iranian club Esteghlal according to the local media.

Born in Germany, the 28-year old represent Morroco at international level. He has played most of his career for Koln as he scored 20 goals in 130 appearances for the Billy Goats during the nine years spell at the club between 2005 to 2014.

Chihi joined English side Fulham on a free transfer to play in the Championship in the summer of 2014 but he has a misery there as he played just one game during a whole season.

Chihi has reportedly passed the medical test but his contract with Esteghlal will be signed after the technical staff confirmation.

Esteghlal is currently at the top of Iran Professional League (IPL) table with 39 points from 21 games.
