Branko wants to break Tractor’s winning streak
Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Persepolis will take on Tractor Sazi in one of the most important matches of 22nd week of Iran Professional League on Sunday at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
The Reds are currently in third place, seven points behind league leader and arch rival Esteghlal while Tractor Sazi stands in seventh.
Tractor Sazi wants to build on three consecutive wins in IPL and Asian Champions League while Persepolis is eager to reduce the gap with Esteghlal.
“Tractor Sazi was extremely unlucky not to win the title last season. They have made a strong start to the AFC Asian Champions League and I think they are a mini national team in terms of the quality players. But I want my players to win every game as we are not allowed to lose points anymore,” Persepolis coach BrankoIvankovic told reporters.
Tractor Sazi coach Amir Ghalenoei believes Persepolis is team to beat at the moment.
“Persepolis is currently in top form and the fans enjoy their team style of play. We have a difficult match against them in Tehran but we know them well and we will try to cut their midfield and offensive line connection,” Tractor Sazi coach Amir Ghalenoei told reporters.
