Tehran Times – ATHENS, Iranian international striker Karim Ansarifard has rejected a €1.2m loan offer from a K-League side.

Ansarifard, who is currently playing for Greek Super League side Panionios FC, had recently rejected an offer from Asian giant Guangzhou Evergrande.

Panionios was eager to loan Ansarifard to Korea in order to solve its financial problems but the Iranian striker is willing to stay in Europe.

“The Korean side offered 1.2 million Euros to Panionios for a loan deal but I told the club officials that I want to stay in Greece. I am working hard to improve my performance and I hope to move to a bigger European club for the next season,” Ansarifard said.

Former Osasuna player who has scored seven goals in 22 appearances in Greek Super League has just six month left on his contract.
