Iran loses to Russia at Kuban Spring Women U-19 Tournament

Tasnim – SOCHI, Iran’s women national football team was defeated against Russia 4-0 in its last Group A match at the Kuban Spring Women U-19 on Tuesday.

Iran’s Zahra Khodabakhshi was named as the best player of the match.

The Iranian team had lost to Romania 4-3 and Japan 2-0, respectively, in the competition.

Group B also consists of Krasnodar, Estonia, North Korea and Sibir.

The tournament was held for the first time in 2004 in Poltava Stanitsa, Krasnodar Krai. It began as a club tournament, later acquiring international status, and since 2010, it is held in Sochi.
