Tasnim – TEHRAN, Jalal Hosseini earned his 100th senior appearance for the Iran national football team on Thursday.

Hosseini came on as a substitute in the 80th minute in the match against India where Team Melli defeated its rival 4-0 in the Asian World Cup Qualifiers.

Hosseini debuted for Iran in a friendly match against Belarus in February 2007.

The 34-year-old defender has scored seven international goals so far.

Hosseini’s first goal came on July 11, 2007, in a 2007 AFC Asian Cup match against Uzbekistan, where Team Melli won 2-1.
