Tasnim – ZURICH, Iran moved up two places in the first FIFA Women’s World Ranking of 2016.

The Iranian women team jumped to 57th in the latest rankings.

The top three was unchanged with the USA No. 1, ahead of Germany and France. England climbed one place to an all-time high at No. 4 while Australia jumped four spots to a record-high No. 5. Sweden was up two places at No. 6.

Japan, runner-up at last year’s World Cup, fell three spots to No. 7 after failing to secure Olympic qualification. It’s the lowest ranking for Japan since June 2009.

Brazil, North Korea and Canada rounded out the top 10.
