Persepolis striker Jerry Bengtson gave the visiting team a lead in the 7th minute from the penalty spot.
Persepolis captain Mohsen Bengar brought down Malavan midfielder three minutes later in the area and referee Reza Kermanshahi showed the spot.
Jalal Rafkhaei converted his penalty to equalize the match.
Kamal Kamyabinia, who missed Friday’s Tehran derby due to receiving the yellow card, scored a winner before the time ran out in Bandar Anzali’s Takhti Stadium.
Persepolis provisionally moved to IPL second place behind Esteghall Khuzestan.
Esteghlal Tehran has been scheduled to meet Sepahan in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on Sunday.
Furthermore, Naft Tehran defeated Padideh 2-1.
Ali Ghorbani and Hamid Buhamdan scored for the Tehran-based team and Mohsen Yousefi pulled a goal back from the penalty spot with seven minutes remaining.
