“Iran beach soccer can be role model for others”: Josep Ponset

Tasnim – TEHRAN, Josep Ponset, the head of competitions for Beach Soccer Worldwide, said Iran can be a role model for other countries to follow.

“First of all, I’d like to congratulate you for the great job you have done in the beach soccer during the past years,” he said.

“I think Iran can be a role model for other countries who may want to do the same thing. We can introduce Iran as a role model to other countries.”

“Beach soccer consists of two parts: the first part includes to hold the competitions and the second part is to boost tourism industry. I think Kish Island (in Iran’s southern waters) has the potential to emerge as host for the international competition; however its field is not standard but the world federation can help the Iranian organizers,” Josep Ponset concluded.
