Iran U17 loses to hosts at Chinese football tournament

Loading...Mehr News – JIANGYIN, Iran U-17 football team conceded a defeat against host China in the international youth tournament.
The Iranian squad opened the campaign at the international youth tournament in China with a tough match losing 2-1 against the hosts on Tuesday.
Iran’s Mohammad Davari received a straight red card less than half an hour into the first half while Iran’s only goal was netted by Amir Hossein Hosseinpour.
The Iranian team is scheduled to meet Uzbekistan on Thursday before playing against Japan later in the event.
Head coach Hamid Alidousti has invited 24 players to the team.
The tournament is being held in the Chinese city of Jiangyin from May 7 to 16.
