Foolad midfielder Ansari joins Persepolis

Loading...Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Persepolis football club has announced the signing of midfielder Sasan Ansari from Foolad on a two-year contract on Sunday.
He was one of Foolad’s key players last season as he scored 9 goals and provided four assists.
“I’ve played the last seven years in Foolad. I had a couple of offers but when Persepolis called me I didn’t even think. I’ve been a Persepolis fan since I was a teenager and I have a lot of photos to prove that,” Ansari said.
“I’m able to play in several posts. Over the last couple of years I have played as a striker, offensive midfielder and right and left winger. Last season I missed two games due to suspension and I scored 9 goals and provided four assists,” he added.
“It’s an honor for me to work under Branko Ivankovic. I’m looking forward to have a great season with Persepolis,” he added.
