Loading...Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Persepolis football team earned a 3-1 away win against Sepahan in Isfahan in the 7th week of Iran Professional League on Wednesday to join Tractor Sazi on the top with 15 points.
Omid Alishah put the visitors in front in the 15th minute but former FSV Frankfurt defender Ehsan Haji Safi leveled the score seven minutes later with a superb long range shot.
Last season top scorer Mehdi Taremi hit a brace in 60th and 74th minute to give his side a valuable three points.
Elsewhere, Naft Tehran edge past Mashin Sazi 2-1 to move to the third place with 12 points. Amir Arsalan Motahari and Mohammad Ghazi scored for Naft while Payam Sadeghian converted a late penalty for Mashin Sazi.
Padideh and Naft played out a 3-3 draw while Gostaresh Foolad held to a goalles draw by Foolad Khuzestan.
