AFC U-16 Championship: Iran destroy Vietnam 5-0 [VIDEO]

Press TV – Iran’s national junior football team have cruised into the semi-final of the AFC U-16 Championship by thrashing Vietnam 5-0 at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

30 minutes into the match and the Islamic republic took lead through Allahyar Sayyad. Mohammad Ghaderi then scored Iran’s second shortly after restart to put his side in a comfortable position.

But the Persians didn’t stop there, substitute Alireza Asadabadi and Amir Khodamoradi notched further goals and Sayyad’s second of the afternoon rounded off the scoring as Iran booked their spot in the semis with the huge victory.

The triumph also secured Iran’s passage to the 2017 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in India.
