IPL: Persepolis edges past Sanat Naft to remain top [VIDEO]

Loading...Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Persepolis football team grabbed a late 1-0 win against Sanat Naft in the 10th week of Iran Professional League in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on Friday.
Last season’s IPL top scorer Mehdi Taremi scored the sole goal of the match assisted by substitute Ramin Rezaeian in the 86th minute. Persepolis maintained in the top of the table with 22 points.
Elsewhere in Mashad, third place Naft was held to a 2-2 draw against Siah Jamegan while Zob Ahan defeated Esteghlal Khuzestan 2-0 in Isfahan.
Earlier on Thursday, Esteghlal was held to a 1-1 draw by Foolad in Ahvaz, Paykan thrashed Machine Sazi 4-1 in Tabriz, Tractor Sazi defeated Gostaresh Foolad 2-0, Sepahan drew with Saipa 1-1 and Saba lost to Padideh 3-2.
Teams will now go to a one-month international break as the 11th week will be held on 24 and 25th of November.
