AFC U-19 Women’s Championship: Iran 1 – 1 India

Loading...Tehran Times – HANOI, Iran drew 1-1 with India in Group D of the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship on Wednesday.
In the match held at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre Field no. 3 in Hanoi, Kashmina scored for India and Hanieh Mokhtarifar equalized the match in the 82 minute.
The Iranian team has participated in the event with the aim to qualify to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-19 Women’s Championship in 2017.
The competition will be held in China in August 2017.
The top four teams in the 2015 edition of the AFC U-19 Championship — champion Japan, North Korea, South Korea and China — received a direct qualification to the tournament leaving the 14 teams to battle it out in the qualifiers.
The winner from each group (total four teams) will qualify to the finals (eight teams in total).
The participating nations are:
Group A: Australia, Jordan and Northern Mariana Islands
Group B: Uzbekistan, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong and Tajikistan
Group C: Thailand, Myanmar, Palestine and Kyrgyzstan
Group D: Vietnam, Iran, India
