Former Russian midfielder Mostovoi lauds Sardar Azmoun
Tasnim – MOSCOW, Aleksandr Vladimirovich Mostovoi has praised Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun because of the player’s glittering performance in the Russian league and UEFA Champions League.
Mostovi has made 50 appearances for Russian national football team from 1992 to 2004, scoring 10 goals.
A total of European big teams including Liverpool and Dortmund have shown interest in signing the 21-year-old striker and the ex-midfielder believes that it’s time to move for the Iranian player.
“Two years ago, I said Sardar has a big future since he has all the qualities that would make him a good striker. He has strengthened himself with Rostov in the last two years,” Mostovoi said.
“Now, Sardar is a professional striker and it would be better for him to consider his European’s offers at the moment. I believe that he has a good potential to show his capabilities in a new league,” he added.
“It’s a good time for him to transfer to a good league now. Sardar is a young player who has so many years ahead of him,” Mostovoi concluded.
