Amirhossein Akbari named MVP of Persian Beach Soccer Cup

Tasnim – BUSHEHR. Amirhossein Akbari from Iran was named Persian Beach Soccer Cup’s Most Valuable Player on Thursday.

The Iranian team won the first edition of the Persian Beach Soccer Cup after earning three wins over Poland, Ukraine and Italy.

Akbari won the award following the glittering performance in the competition.

Gabriele Gori from Italy was named as the tournament’s top goalscorer with five goals and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Hladchenko became the best goalkeeper.

The three-day Persian Beach Soccer Cup held in the southern city of Bushehr from February 14- 16.

Mohammad Hossein Mirshamsi’s side is preparing for the AFC Beach Soccer Championship which will be held Malaysia in early March.
