Khodadad Azizi resigns as Siah Jamegan head coach
Tehran Times – MASHHAD, Khodadad Azizi, who took charge of Siah Jamegan as Farhad Kazemi successor in the 10th week of Iran Professional League, resigned from his post after just thirteen weeks.
A 2-1 defeat against Tractor Sazi on Friday left them in the 15th spot in the relegation zone with just eight games remaining.
Siah Jamegan started the season with Farhad Kazemi as the head coach. Kazemi sacked in the ninth week after three consecutive defeats against Tractor Sazi, Esteghlal and Sepahan.
Azizi was appointed as the new head coach in the 10th week but he couldn’t improve the team’s results as they managed to get just one win in 13 games.
Akbar Misaghian is the main candidate to replace Azizi while accepting this responsibility will be a great risk as the team struggle with financial problems and fighting to avoid relegation.
