IPL: Persepolis take another step toward title (VIDEO)

Loading...Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Persepolis football team defeated Paykan 2-0 in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Wednesday.
Ali Alipour scored a long-range shot in the 55th minute and Mehdi Taremi scored a late goal to seal a 2-0 victory for the Reds.
Mohammad Sadegh Barani from Paykan was sent off by the referee in the added time for pushing Taremi.
With four weeks remaining, Persepolis went 12 points clear at the top of the table.
Earlier in the day, struggling team Siahjamegan defeated title-holder Esteghlal Khuzestan 2-1 in Mashhad.
Esteghlal is currently second with one game in hands.
The Blues will face Gostaresh Foolad on Thursday and Tractor Sazi meet Sab on Friday.
