Loading...Tasnim – TABRIZ, Esteghlal football team almost missed the chance of winning Iran Professional League (IPL) title after drawing with Gostaresh Foold.
On Thursday, Esteghlal was held to a 1-1 draw by Gostaresh in Tabriz’s Bonyan Diesel Stadium.
Alireza Naghizadeh was on target in 74th minute and Omid Ebrahimi equalized the match six minutes later.
With four weeks remaining, Esteghlal is second, 11 points adrift of IPL leader Persepolis.
Elsewhere, Zob Ahan drew 1-1 with Sanat Naft in Isfahan.
Ehsan Pahlevan gave Zob Ahan the lead in the 52nd minute and Amin Zaleykani cancelled out the goal in the 65th minute.
