Branko Ivankovic: Persepolis deserved to win Iran title

Loading...Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Persepolis coach Branko Ivankovis says that they deserved to be crowned Iran Professional League.
The Reds defeated Machine Sazi 2-0 in Tabriz to win IPL for the third time.
“This is my third championship in three different countries. I think Persepolis deserved to win the title because we are the best team in Iran at the moment,” Ivankovic said in the post-match news conference.
“We could have scored more goals in this match but our strikers missed their opportunities. We want to win the three remaining matches as well,” he stated.
“I would like to thank my staff, players, and our supporters who backed us during the league,” the Croat added.
