The Green Machine, which was founded in 1969, is the third Tabriz-based football team in the IPL.
Tractor Sazi and Gostaresh Foolad also represent the city in the Iranian league.
With three games left until the end of the season, Machine Sazi has lost 17 times and finished in draw seven times. The team has won just three matches.
