Winfried Schaefer happy with first win at Esteghlal Tehran

Loading...Tasnim – TEHRAN, Esteghlal coach Winfried Schaefer is very happy because of his first win with the Blues in PGPL.
Esteghlal defeated Naft Tehran 2-0 and it was the German coach’s first victory at the helm.
Under leadership of Schaefer, Esteghlal played out a goalless draw with Foolad and lost Tehran derby 1-0 to arch rival Persepolis.
Although, Esteghlal has defeated First Division Nassaji 2-1 in Iran’s Hazfi Cup.
“I am very happy with the win. I am satisfied with the way my players played in this match,” Schaefer said in the post-match news conference.
“We need to get better and I am sure we can keep moving forward. Esteghlal created several scoring chances against Naft Tehran. We were under pressure but I am really happy because we could take a big step,” the German coach added.
