AFC U-19 Championship Qualifiers 2018: Jordan, Iran settle for scoreless draw

AFC – Zarqa City, Group E of the AFC U-19 Championship 2018 is set for a tantalising end after Syria beat Palestine 3-2 while Jordan and the Islamic Republic of Iran played to a 0-0 draw at the Prince Mohammad International Stadium on Monday.

Jordan and Syria are tied on four points with Jordan ahead on goal difference while Iran have two points after two matches.

Jordan delivered a huge dent to Iran’s qualification hopes when they held them to a 0-0 draw.

Both sides were evenly matched and neither could find a breakthrough as they shared the spoils after 90 minutes.

Jordan and Syria meet on Wednesday while Iran will play Palestine, who have been eliminated after suffering two defeats.
