Paykan was reduced to 10 men after Abolfazl Ebrahimi received his second yellow card for a tackle in the 78th minute.
Foolad moved up to second place after defeating Sepidrood Rasht 2-1.
Gostaresh Foolad defeated Saipa 3-1 and Sepahan was held to a 1-1 draw by Esteghlal Khuzestan.
On Friday, Siahjamegan will face Padideh in Mashhad derby, Persepolis meet Zob Ahan in Tehran, Naft Tehran play Pars Jonoubi Jam and Sanat Naft will host Tractor Sazi.
Persepolis sits top of the table with 27 points from 12 matches.
Foolad is second with 26 points from 14 matches and Pars Jonoubi is third with 25 points from 13 matches.
