Iran to play Algeria in friendly
Tasnim – TEHRAN, Head coach of Iran national football team Carlos Queiroz says Team Melli will play a friendly match against Algeria ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
According to Queiroz, Iran will face Algeria in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on June 2.
Team Melli will kick of the 2018 World Cup with a match against Morocco in Group B and is going to play Algeria in a friendly match because of the similarities between the two teams.
“The match against Morocco will be like our World Cup final – we’ll play like we are playing for our lives,” said Queiroz.
“It’s a great team with fantastic players and a great coach (Herve Renard),” he added.
