UEFA Europa League: Saman Ghoddos a threat for Arsenal
Tehran Times – OSTERSUND, Iranian international striker Saman Ghoddos is a threat for Arsenal when Ostersunds of Sweden meet the English giants at the UEFA Europa League Round of 32, express.co.uk reported.
Arsenal drew Ostersunds in the Europa League draw and play the team on Feb. 15 and 22.
Which players should Arsenal be wary of? Forwards Alhaji Gero and Saman Ghoddos pose a threat for Arsenal, having been the club’s two most prolific scorers domestically and in Europe this season.
Ghoddos’ red-hot form has seen him earn international caps for both Iran and Sweden in 2017 and it’s likely that the striker will feature at the 2018 World Cup for the former next summer.
“We know how good we are at home. On an artificial pitch, and with the cold. There are not many who are used to it,” reports Sport Witness.
Ghoddos has been OFK’s standout player in the Europa League this season, and the game with Arsenal will surely put the player in the shop window ahead of next summer’s transfer window.
The 24-year-old forward was linked with a move to QPR in the last window when the Championship side submitted an offer, which was rejected by the Swedish side.
