Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Branko Ivankovic has extended his contract with Persepolis football team until 2021.

The Croat, who had one year left on his current contract, penned a two-year extension on Wednesday to remain with the club until 2021.

On 5 April 2015, Ivankovic was confirmed as new coach of Persepolis, signing a one-and-a-half-year contract with the club and extended that until the end of 2018-19 season.

Now, he has extended his contract one again for more two years.

“I am very happy to extend my contract. We will work hard to make our fans happy and make our fans proud. We are really excited to think about the upcoming days,” the 63-year-old said.

Under tutelage of Branko Ivankovic, Persepolis won the title of the Iran Professional League (IPL) last season and advanced to the AFC Champions League semi-final for the first time.
