Tasnim – TEHRAN, Former Iran national football team head coach Miroslav Blazevic will likely travel to Tehran to attend Persepolis’s Persian Gulf Professional League (PGPL) title celebration.

Persepolis coach Branko Ivankovic said the Team Melli ex-coach has agreed to travel to Tehran.

Persepolis won the PGPL title with three games to spare on Sunday after edging past Padideh in Mashhad.

The Iranian popular football team will celebrate the championship on April 27 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium and Blazevic is expected to participate in the ceremony as a special guest.

Blazevic led Croatia to third place at the 1998 World Cup but failed to qualify for the 2002 World Cup as Iran coach.
