Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Branko Ivankovic will reportedly extend his contract with Persepolis football club after the match against Al Jazira of the UAE.

Persepolis will host the Emirati football team on May 14 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

The Iranian giants lost to Al Jazira 3-2 in the first leg of the AFC Champions League Round of 16 in Dubai.

The Iranian media reports suggest that Ivankovic will extend his contract after the second leg.

In January, the Persepolis club announced that Ivankovic has extended his contract until 2021 but it seems no contract has been signed yet.

The Croat has led Persepolis to Iran Professional League back-to-back titles and advanced to 2017 AFC Champions League semis.

Persepolis also are favorite to win ACL title in current season after advancing to the Round of 16 as the group winners.

Ivankovic has already worked at Saudi Arabian football club Ettifaq in 2011-12.

The 64-year-old coach has also been linked with a move to Uzbekistan football team.
