Kosovo friendly cancelled as Team Melli’s WC preparations take a blow [Report]

Persianfootball.com – ISTANBUL, Team Melli were to face the Kosovan national team as a replacement for the Greece friendly, which was cancelled.

Kosovan sources announced that the match versus Iran was to take place in Istanbul, on June 3rd, however, disagreements over the match being broadcasted saw the potential practice match cancelled.

According to these reports, Carlos Queiroz requested to have the match played behind closed doors, but the Kosovan Federation rejected this condition and decided to not go ahead with the friendly.

Team Melli is in need of another friendly match to fine tune the squad before the world showpiece commences on June 14th.

Prior to the start of the World Cup tournament, Iran will face Lithuania on June 8th.
